The Metropolitan Cemeteries Board (MCB) undertakes a number of ongoing bushfire management activities to mitigate the risk of bushfire occurrences that could result in damage to life, property and the environment. Hazard reduction grass tree burn offs are a key strategy being implemented.
Please be advised the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) will be looking for the opportunity, subject to suitable weather conditions and resourcing, to conduct a hazard reduction grass tree burn at Pinnaroo Valley Memorial Park on behalf of the MCB during winter/early spring.
We currently have no burn offs scheduled but will update this page with dates if and when we proceed with a burn off activity.
