The Metropolitan Cemeteries Board (MCB) is a statutory authority of the Government of Western Australia responsible for managing cemeteries at Fremantle, Guildford, Karrakatta, Midland, Pinnaroo and Rockingham.
The MCB formed in 1988 amalgamating the Karrakatta Cemetery Board and the Pinnaroo Valley Memorial Park Board. In 1989, the MCB took over management of Midland and Guildford Cemeteries from the Shire of Swan, and in 2003 the Fremantle Cemetery Board was amalgamated.
We provide sensitive and dignified facilities and services to meet the needs of the deceased and bereaved, such as cremation, burial, entombment, memorialisation and chapel services, as well as planning for future cemetery needs of the metropolitan population.
