To serve the existing and rapidly growing population of the south west corridor, the Metropolitan Cemeteries Board has established a new facility, Rockingham Regional Memorial Park, in Millar Road, Baldivis - 38 kilometres south of Perth city.

The new Memorial Park was officially opened on 12 September 2007 by the Minister for Local Government, The Hon Ljiljanna Ravlich MLC.

A section of the site has been allocated to the Muslim community for burials. Special ethnic and religious areas are also being planned in consultation with other groups.
