Guildford Cemetery was first
established in the late 1800s. Today the cemetery
remains the chosen resting place of many people
wishing to be buried in a traditional setting,
alongside some of Western Australia’s
most notable pioneers.
The Heritage
Council of Western Australia, recognising the
cemetery’s historical significance, has
listed Guildford on the Register of Heritage
Places.
Traditional and denominational
burial sections
are available at Guildford. In these sections,
the Board approves a variety of monumental work
including kerb borders, headstones and statues.

Memorial
options range from ground niches to rose
bushes, niche walls and landscaping features.
Construction of a 168 crypt
garden mausoleum
commenced at Guildford Cemetery in 2003 to accommodate
the cultural and religious needs of certain
sections of the community.
Guildford Funeral
Protocol
Please check with the Pinnaroo
Office or the funeral director as to the location
of the burial. There are several entrances with
ample visitor parking nearby.
Guildford Flower
and Ornament Policy
The Metropolitan Cemeteries
Board is committed to maintaining our cemeteries
and memorial gardens to a high standard. Our
Flower
and Ornament Policy has been developed in
conjunction with community groups and has been
in operation since 1986. Consideration has been
given to safety issues for cemetery visitors,
staff and to the overall landscape.
We thank our visitors for
observing the conditions described in our Policy.
